Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib was the uncle and guardian of the Prophet Muhammad. He was born in Mecca and was the youngest son of Abdul-Muttalib. Abu Talib was a well-respected figure in Mecca for his intelligence, honesty, and his ability to settle disputes.
It is believed that he was the first person to recognize and acknowledge the prophethood of Muhammad. He supported and protected the Prophet against the opposition of the tribes of Mecca, even though he did not convert to Islam himself.
Abu Talib also played a crucial role in the early years of Islam. He offered the Prophet protection and financial assistance, and refused to hand him over to the Meccan authorities who were seeking to arrest him.
Despite his unwavering support for the Prophet, Abu Talib died a non-Muslim, which is a source of sadness for Muslims. He is remembered as a man of strong character, steadfastness, and loyalty.
